'New' and 'Updated' tags explained

Why do some listings have New and Updated tags?

When a listing is first created it will display a ‘New’ tag in the top left corner of the listing in the search results.

The ‘New’ tag will be displayed for 7 days from the date and time the listing was created - not from when the listing was first sent live. 'New' listings will also rank higher than other listings for 7 days when sorted from newest to oldest.

For this reason, we recommend you create a listing only when you are ready to send it live.

The ‘date created’ can be viewed in Commercial Real Estate Agent Admin, in the stock list and property overview page.

Click Listings then Commercial Sale (or Lease) from the side menu. Find your listing in the stocklist and inspect the Created/Modified column. The 'date created' is above the 'date modified'.

Note:

This is the date the listing was first loaded via a CRM (with a new unique CRM ID) or created manually via Commercial Real Estate Agent Admin - not the date the listing was sent live again after being archived.

Updated Tags

For commercial listings, The ‘Updated’ tag will be triggered to display when a listing has changed its sale type, from For Sale to Auction or vice-versa, or if there has been a ‘significant price change’.

For business listings, The ‘Updated’ tag will be triggered to display when there has been a ‘significant price change’.

This will appear 72 hours from the date and time the listing was updated.

The specific value of a ‘significant price change’ has been intentionally kept undisclosed to prevent misuse.

The ‘last updated’ date is different to the ‘last modified’ date, and is not visible on any page.

When a listing has the ‘New’ or ‘Updated’ tag triggered, it will be included in Property Alerts either the same morning, or the following morning.
